Public Scholarship

I have (co) conceptualized, sought funding for, and launched scholarly events related to a variety of interests centered around global engagement. This scholarship has typically been collaborative, interdisciplinary, and has engaged faculty, staff, students, and community members. Many of these projects of public scholarship had digital platforms that I designed (and maintain). In some cases, I incorporated the production of these platforms and digital scholarship into my classes. In one case, I co-mentored students to produce the platform to serve as digital resources around these events. Below is a sample of the digital platforms.

  1. Challenging Borders: A research and learning community on Mobility and Movement (2016)
  2. Borderlands: An Interdisciplinary Inquiry into Human Trafficking (2014)
  3. Sufi Orders that Cross Borders (2012)
  4. As It Happens (2012)
